TEACHING METHODS

Unlike most other language schools, Angielski Zakątek doesn’t use only one teaching method. We believe that in every method there is a lot of interesting elements to be found and that we can use them interchangeably and at choice. Limiting to just one teaching method doesn’t let students to develop all the language skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing at the same time. Language course should be effective but also interesting, diverse and absorbing, and what follows, motivating. An interested student learns more eagerly than a student who must follow the same pattern on every lesson.

If you are doing something, do it right. That’s why we don’t forget about the speakers accuracy. It is important to be fully understood when you have something important to say. Apart from that, for those learners who have to learn English at their state schools and who are marked for it, taking additional English courses can bring amazing profits.

During the classes we will:

• learn by communication games and quizzes, thanks to which we will know how to exchange opinions and ideas, and simply talk in English;
• simulate real life situations and correct any mistakes that may occur;
• use newspaper articles, movie fragments, songs, TV shows, advertisements and many others;
• focus on all four language skills, that is: listening, speaking, reading and writing;
• pay attention to communication in different situations: common, school, business, social, etc.

• use varied exercises which will encourage students to spontaneous and creative behavior during lessons;

Especially small children learn through games, that’s why we will use different teaching aids which will make the learning fun. Among many others, we will use: board games, puzzles, jigsaws, bricks, coloring pages, music, singing, movement and even musical instruments. Children will feel great in our school!
